6 Hobbies that will actually put money back in your pocket.

We all know that hobbies are a great thing to have as they add excitement and a flavor to what could be a very mundane life (all work no play) But anyone who has a hobby knows that they can become quite costly as you usually must acquire the tools that your hobbies require to function, especially as you advance in skill. I  remember when I first stepped into Bass Pro shops, my mother could not believe I spent almost my entire check in there. To her, it was madness, but to me it was heaven. However,  those days of having my parents to cover my living expenses as I spend my money on all my wants are long since over. So, here are a few hobbies that will actually make you money instead of taking all your money.

1. COIN COLLECTING

Coin collecting is the collecting of coins or other forms of minted legal tender.Coins of interest to collectors often include those that circulated for only a brief time, coins with mint errors and especially beautiful or historically significant pieces, Many collectors are willing to pay top price for rare and historical pieces. A great way to increase your bank account!

2. PHOTOGRAPHY

In the initial stages, photography can be a very expensive hobby. Depending on how high tech your camera is you can easily spend $10000 and more on a professional camera;  not to mention all the difference lenses that a photographer would need. But if you are tight on funds we would recommend you start out with a decent camera in the $500 to $1500 range. You can offer your services to aspiring models, businesses, weddings or people in the music industry. And even better if you want to start making money that very day, take your camera to a high tourist area in your city, and offer tourist custom shots of any picture they would like to take. With today's new camera's you can send your pictures directly to your customers email,  and many tourist would pay to get HI Def shots with popular landmarks.

3. GOLD PANNING AND DIGGING

Like photography, the initial start up of this hobby can get very expensive depending on how invested you want to get. You can start with a simple panning kit and a shovel, to a full blown river pump that dredges the bottom of rivers costing a couple thousand dollars. However, the rewards can easily make up for the money spent. With Gold as a popular commodity around the globe, you will always find buyers willing to purchase your loot. And at times the rate per ounce of gold can be very lucrative!

4. YARD SALES

Believe it or not visiting your weekend yard sales can put quite a few buck in your pocket. The term one man's trash is another man's treasure never rang so true  when it comes to yard sales. At these treasure holes, you will find people selling any and everything because they are moving, emptying a love one's house who has passed on or simply making some much-needed space in their garage. Many of these people are letting things go at a fraction of the price you will even find in thrift stores. Some things you may find may be extremely rare and with website's like craigslist and even our hobbymentors.com, you will always be able to find someone willing to buy something you found and wouldn't mind your markup. Great way to turn a profit.

5. REAL ESTATE
Continuing with the spirit of flipping brings us to  real estate. If you have decent credit and or access to a couple thousand dollars, you will find real estate to be very lucrative. The mission is to find foreclosed or short sale houses with minimum repair needs, fix them  up and put them back on the market for a higher return. Many people across the world turn over 6 figures a year only doing a few flips within that year. If you have a knack for turning a dump into treasure real estate is right for you!

6. FARMING

If you love working with yours hands, enjoy the great outdoors and animals, Then this is a great money making hobby for you. With the concern of processed and GMO foods at ab all time high, many people are looking for natural organic foods.  So if you have a couple acres of land or a plot you can raise livestock and/or plant your fruits and vegetables and sell your harvest to friends, family or the public. It's an extremely rewarding feeling to see  all your hard work literally grow before your eyes and pay off in the end.

Of course, this is a very short list and there are many more hobbies available that will put money back in your pocket. You can see many of these hobbies in the "hobby" section of our website. If you are interested in learning how to start one or all of the hobbies above, join our website at www.hobbymentors.com. You can find a member in your area that can show you the ropes and how to get started in your new hobbies!

10 Hobbies that will help you shed the pounds

At hobbymentors.com we are all about introducing hobbies from all walks of life to our members. We know in today's time how being healthy is all the rage, but folks tend to groan when they hear the dreaded word exercise. So we have decided to compile a list of great hobbies that will have you drenched in sweat and losing those pounds in no time at all. The best thing is , these hobbies are so fun , you wont even think of them as exercise!

First on the List:

 1. RACQUETBALL

Prepare to watch that waist line shrink away. This sport is meant to keep you on your toes and moving. You will be enclosed in a square court taking turns returning a ball from the front wall. Sounds easy? The ball can only bounce once on the ground before you have to return it to the front wall. So if your hanging out in the back and your opponent hits a short ball near the front , you will make be making a mad dash to the front to get that ball before it can hit the ground. Then back to rear if your opponent sends the ball back there. Now as you become a better player you will learn how to position yourself to reduce the running, but anytime you step into that court with someone on your skill level be prepared to run!

2. PAINTBALL

When we tried paintball for the first time , we were definitely not prepared for the adrenaline rush and the workout. We found ourselves rolling , dodging, ducking, running, and every other word ending in "ing" you would think of to describe war against another team. By the end of the day we were drenched in so much sweat we wished we had access to a cold shower.

3. MOUNTAIN BIKING

This is a no brainer for many, but still makes the list because its just so fun! Imagine yourself barreling down a dirt path through streams and woodlands! This hobby will have your heartbeat  jumping to a new level!  You'll see after about two or three weeks of mountain biking it will be time to get a new belt to keep your clothes from sliding off!

4. FIRE DANCING

Now this is a really cool hobby and quite entertaining. Fire dancing involves a lit stick or candle in a vase attached to a chain where you twirl to music and rapidly swinging the chain so that it makes intricate rings around you. You may wonder how this will shed pounds, but do this for 15 minutes and see how your arms will feel, not to mention you are constantly moving.

5. FLOW ARTS

Ok, not into fire too much? Well, you can tone it down with other  items like; hula hoops , fans, staffs and levitation wands. You twist and twirl these props around your body moving in a rhythmic  fashion, once again your constant moving increases your heart rate  and you will see those pounds shedding!

6. DODGEBALL

You may have had a blast back to middle school with this one , but believe it are not , there are many adults of all ages that still enjoy the adrenaline of this sport.  We all remember being soaked to the T in our PE clothes from play a quick game of Dball , nothing like some well aimed dodge balls that will put the fire under your behind and get you moving.

7. POLE DANCING

Alright guys calm down, on the opposite side of the adult side, pole dancing requires intense upper body strength, you will be working so many different muscles as you balance yourself on the pole. You will build a lot of upper body and core strength as you take your skills to new levels.

8. VOLLEY BALL

This sport is intense especially when played in the sand, running, spiking, setting and diving. You will find your self wanting to take a quick nap in the sand, Volleyball is a great sport that is so fun you will find your self playing for hours without knowing it.

9. WHITE WATER RAFTING

Almost anything having to do with water will guarantee a workout. And this one is one of the extremes! The great thing is you will have a team with you as you battle the elements. Prepare for a back rub and days rest to recover after your first time because you will be feeling it! But once again the fun (and fear) will keep your mind off all that cardio you will be doing.

10. BELEGARTH

You many have always wondered what its like to charge into battle doing close hand to hand combat with swords, axes and sledge hammers. Well, here is your chance to feel like you're living in the iron age , or should we say "foam age."Join hundreds of other warriors armed to the teeth with foam made weapons and they battle for supremacy of the battle field and for glory! You will be so busy fighting that by the end of the day you wont realize how utterly exhausted you have become.

What Will it Take to Make You Feel Alive?

What does living with passion mean to you? Do you think life is meant to be lived without vibrant colors, dredging through the days of grey, maybe dark days and sometimes bright. But always grey, black or white. Isn't it time to redefine what lives deep within, in the recesses of the shadows that once lived in color. The child that we've stuffed so far down, we've drowned out its cries to come alive. What would it take to make you come alive? Passion within screams out when you let yourself go to the playfulness you've lost. Here's what I think can help you come back from the far corner of dull daily routines and into an exciting fun filled adventure. These hobbies are meant to awaken the soul and grab your interest, take your breath away in a spontaneous whirl of excitement. Won't you come along and explore with me?

First I bring you Zorbing. Who wouldn't love this adrenaline rush of spinning endlessly and safely padded in a bubble. I say zorbing is a great way to bring out your inner play.

Next, why not try ziplining, come on I know you think... Hows that thin line possibly going hold me, as I plummet towards the ground , whizzing by streams and trees and well, honestly you'll be zipping so fast all you'll be able to do is think, I believe I can fly, I'm  a bird, I'm a plane, i'm a super hero. But whatever it is I am, I am definitely feeling alive!

Jet skiing, is another way to get out and feel reborn, the wind in your hair, the water splashing as you gain speed lifting off and propelling through waves and water. Seeing dolphin's, fish and the amazing view as you cruise by. Yes that will have your heart going.

And lastly for this blog my next pick is paint ball. That's right my friends, don that war gear and mask it up, you're ready to go in all out battle of ultimate paint wars. Duck, hide, run, shoot...but Don't get hit....splat!!!! Lol, what could get that heart rate pounding more???

The whole point is there are many hobbies out there to experience, but you wont know how amazing it feels to try them if you won't simply step out of your comfort zone and try something new. These are only a short couple picks of mine, but we list soooo many more on the site.
So stop by register and start to feel alive again, awaken the passion within and live to play. That's it for now folks, get out and get going. That's an order, will you take the order and fill it or toss it out and continue to walk around stuffing down the urge to do more than the have too's and start to do the want too's. And remember on the site you can see a full description of the hobbies I listed, learn where to go and find someone else who enjoys these hobbies. The only excuse is...that You don't have one, we've made it incredibly easy to start. Come on over now www.hobbymentors.com. until next time live to play.

FIVE GREAT HOBBIES TO TAKE UP BEFORE THE END OF 2015

We at Hobbymentors enjoy sharing great hobbies , so we compiled a short list of five awesome hobbies to try before the end of of 2015, If you like this list and would like to see more  hobbies join our official site www.hobbymentors.com and view our hobby list and find new friends in your area ready to teach you a new hobby!

1. GEOCACHING

Geocaching / is an outdoor recreational activity, in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. After signing the log, the cache must be placed back exactly where the person found it. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little financial value, although sometimes they are sentimental.

2. FLYBOARDING

Flyboarding is a new sport that is gaining popularity throughout the world. A flyboard is a type of water jetpack attached to a personal water craft (PWC) which supplies propulsion to drive the Flyboard through air and water to perform a sport known as flyboarding. A Flyboard rider stands on a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. Water is forced under pressure to a pair of boots with jet nozzles underneath which provide thrust for the rider to fly up to 15 meters in the air or to dive headlong through the water. A person can learn basic skills within five mins of flyboarding.

3.BELEGARTH

Belegarth Medieval Combat is a full contact battle game where foam weapons are used in order to prevent serious physical injury to participants. It differs from other battle games and LARPs in that it is entirely combat-oriented that allows hard hitting, shield bashes, and grappling with little emphasis on role playing and has no magic or character classes. It is composed of a number of not-for-profit "realms", which compete at regional and national events every year. Typically, each realm also holds individual fighting practices several times a week. Realms vary in size from just a handful of people to over a hundred fighters.

4. BEACHCOMBING

Beachcombing is an activity that consists of an individual "combing" (or searching) the beach and the intertidal zone, looking for things of value, interest or utility. A beachcomber is a person who participates in the activity of beachcombing. Many modern beachcombers follow the "drift lines" or "tide lines" on the beach and are interested in the (mostly natural) objects that the sea casts up. For these people, "beachcombing" is the recreational activity of looking for and finding various curiosities that have washed in with the tide: seashells of every kind, fossils, pottery shards, historical artifacts, sea beans (drift seeds), sea glass (beach glass) and driftwood. Items such as lumber, plastics, and all manner of things that have been lost or discarded by seagoing vessels will be collected by some beachcombers, as long as the items are either decorative or useful in some way to the collector. (However, this usually does not include the great bulk of marine debris, most of which is neither useful nor decorative.) Today, many people beachcomb for beach treasures and also because the activity offers them a natural prescription to achieve better emotional, physical and spiritual health.

5. ARCHERY

Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow, from Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat, while in modern times, its main use is that of a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically known as an "archer" or a "bowman", and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a toxophilite
